Same thing happened to mine and a short while later it stopped working permanently. I tried everything to get it working again but it's officially dead and now I have to sleep in a 55 degree room. Thanks, Honeywell.

I had exactly the same problem - one day thermostat of HZ-709 decided to invert its logic from heating to cooling. So, if I set temp lower than room temp - it switches heater on forever. I guess it's a chip bug. I disassembled the front panel and on the board with switches I removed (just cut it) the small 3mm jumper. This jumper located in the top right corner if you will look at this board from the front (it's name something like R-xxx. Now it works again. There is a side effect - now it shows temp in Celsius, not Fahrenheit - in European mode.

Could you be more specific in the directions? I'm not to good at this. Thanks

I have an hz-0360-wmt that turns off after about a minute. I suspect it's a thermostat/thermocouple problem. Did you ever solve your issue?

I have one and It looks like it's working properly.
